Eblana competes in the various annual Toastmasters public speaking contests and has an outstanding record.

2001 Humourous speech contest: Eblana member Rodney Devitt won the club contest and the area level contest
2002 International speech contest: Eblana member Aine Ni Maoldomhnaigh won the club contest and the area level contest

2002 Table Topics contest: Eblana member Malachy Brazil won the club contest and the area level contest.
2002 Humourous speech contest: Eblana member Peter Groarke won the club contest and the area level contest and came third at the Division level contest
